UnionStahl is committed to innovation and has integrated a state-of-the-art measuring arm technology with optical detection from Hexagon into its production processes. This investment marks a significant step in the optimization of our company’s quality assurance and production planning. The new system offers a number of advantages over traditional, tactile measuring methods. Non-contact measurement minimizes physical measurement errors while significantly improving accuracy. With a span of 4.5 meters, the measuring arm also enables flexible and precise measurement of large components. Both optical and tactile measurements can be used in combination. The technology makes it possible to analyze entire surfaces instead of just individual measuring points. This enables detailed deviation analyses between real components and target states, which can be compared directly with 3D data models. We see this investment not only as an improvement in measurement accuracy, but also as an important step towards the digitalization and optimization of production processes. By using absorption and reflection, we create 3D data models that form a basis for digital downstream processes such as quality assurance and production planning. With this pioneering technology, we want to prove that innovation and precision go hand in hand in order to meet the highest quality standards. Our highly qualified quality assurance staff have already undergone intensive training in order to support our customers with maximum precision in every situation.
