Our steel grades are qualified in accordance with the ASTM American Society for Testing and Steel grades international standards system, but can also be used for the ASME BPVC (ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code) pressure vessel sector.

The customers of the Heavy plates and Hot rolled Sheets according to ASTM/ASME stored by us are at home in various sectors or their suppliers. These include, for example, the petrochemical industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food industry, waste management, power plant technology and the energy and environment sectors.

In addition, we stock Steel grades from well-known Western European manufacturers that are approved by the key decision-makers in the energy, oil and gas industries. The steel grades supplied by UnionStahl in accordance with ASTM/ASME comply with international standards and regulations.

Our plates in stock are certified according to ASME Sect. II Part A SA20 S5 certified. Furthermore, the steel grades are vacuum degassed, fine grain practice and fully killed in accordance with ASTM/ASME.

Heavy plate variety for every need at UnionStahl

UnionStahl stores the heavy plates according to ASTM A/ASME SA 516 in as many dimensions as possible in order to be able to optimally meet the needs of our customers. Widths of up to 4,000 mm and lengths of up to 16,000 mm – these unusual sizes are not uncommon for us.

For sour gas applications in the oil and gas industry, there are NACE requirements. Our sheets according to ASTM/ASME fulfill the guidelines of NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156-2:2015 and NACE MR 0103/ISO 17945:2015.

ASTM A/ASME SA 387 steel grades are heat-resistant and therefore suitable for use at high operating temperatures. A special feature of our Hot rolled Sheets is the notched bar impact test at -20 °C.

Subsequent tests such as PWHT, hardness test, tensile test and notched bar impact test are part of our range of services to meet a wide variety of requirements. Get in touch with us.
