Qualitätsmanagement

UnionStahl has successfully acquired the DIN 2303 qualification class 2 and thus obtained an important certification for safety steel. This qualification confirms our expertise in safety-critical welding work and defines the special requirements for:

  • Liquid quenched and tempered steels (e.g. HY 80, HY 100)
  • Non-magnetizable austenitic steels (e.g. 1.3964)
  • AlZnMg alloys

UnionStahl sets new standards with DIN 2303 certification

With this certification, we are officially authorized to manufacture components in component class BK1. Component class BK1 includes safety-relevant products for the defense industry that must withstand the highest static and dynamic loads. These products primarily include

  • Vehicle parts that fulfill essential static and dynamic functions
  • Safety-relevant components without armoring function

Welding quality at the highest level

The basis for this certification is the combination of our welding approvals in accordance with:

  1. DIN 3834-2 – Welding procedures and quality requirements
  2. DIN EN 1090-2 – Manufacture of load-bearing components

Our welding procedure qualifications and precise welding instructions ensure compliance with the highest safety and quality standards. The evaluation of welding defects takes place within the framework of DIN EN ISO 5817.
