Promoting energy efficiency: UnionStahl trainees win bronze as Lower Rhine Energy Scouts

UnionStahl is celebrating the success of its trainees, who won the bronze medal in this year’s “EnergieScouts Niederrhein” competition organized by the Lower Rhine Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The award honors the innovative ideas of our trainees Paulina, Fritz and Moritz for saving energy in our sanitary facilities.

What are the EnergieScouts Niederrhein?

The “EnergieScouts Niederrhein” project of the Niederrhein Chamber of Industry and Commerce provides prospective specialists with practical basic knowledge on the topics of energy and resource efficiency, as well as project management and profitability calculations for independent projects. Since October 2023, our three Energy Scouts have taken part in workshops, discovered potential energy savings and developed measures for improvement.

Sanitary facilities under the magnifying glass: recognizing and exploiting potential savings

With their knowledge and fresh ideas, the energy scouts set to work and uncovered numerous energy-saving potentials in our company’s sanitary facilities. Our trainees’ ideas could not only save energy in the long term, but also costs. These practical and directly implementable solutions ultimately helped the team to win the EnergieScouts Niederrhein competition.
