Startseite » News » Best practice in plant engineering: flame-cut and laser-cut parts and welded assemblies from a single source
A medium-sized family business has been developing and manufacturing industrial heat treatment systems for over 40 years. The systems are used in various industries and require precisely manufactured components, high quality and reliable supply chains.
The collaboration with UnionStahl has been in place since 2011. While the focus was initially on the traditional supply of heavy plate, the partnership has been continuously expanded in recent years:
2023 was the first time the customer purchased flame-cut and laser-cut parts, followed by additional processing services in 2024. UnionStahl has been supplying complete welded assemblies for plant construction since 2025.
The decisive factor in expanding the collaboration was the search for a reliable partner who could supply flame-cut and laser-cut parts, including processing, in consistently high quality. The aim was to relieve internal production capacities, streamline processes and shorten throughput times.
Classic structural steel is used for the cladding of industrial heat treatment systems, as there are no special material-specific requirements here. The combustion chambers of the systems, on the other hand, are subject to high thermal loads and are made of heat-resistant stainless steel alloys, which are sourced from specialized stainless steel suppliers.
UnionStahl takes on the production of the required flame-cut and laser-cut parts from structural steel and supplements these with extensive processing services through to the delivery of ready-to-install welded assemblies. All services are precisely tailored to the requirements of plant construction.
The combination of material availability, modern processing and the production of complete welded assemblies results in significant advantages for the customer:
With the successful implementation of several projects, UnionStahl has established itself as a reliable regular supplier for flame-cut and laser-cut parts as well as welded assemblies in plant construction. The close cooperation creates a stable basis for further projects and underlines UnionStahl’s claim to support medium-sized customers with integrated solutions.
