Visit of the Dillinger Pressure Vessel Colloquium in September 2018
Dillinger Hütte invited to a seminar on pressure vessel steel and boiler construction grades, in order to discuss options and requirements for steel in the pressure vessel industry.
As a wholesaler and supplier of Dillinger plates in various pressure vessel steels, UnionStahl was invited to the colloquium.
UnionStahl stores not only ASME SA516GR (55-60-65-70) but also plates of the ASME SA387 series. Of course also the European plates of the EN 10028.
In order to provide our customers with comprehensive advice and assistance with specifications and customer delivery requirements, our sales persons and Quality managers have been further educated on this event.
Only with a broad knowledge, we can meet the increasing demands of the market. This requires an intensive exchange with leading national and international suppliers, pressure vessel manufacturers and end customers of the pressure vessel industry. Last but not least, such a forum provides a platform for a lively exchange on the different approaches of ASME, EN 13445, AD2000 W1, PD 5500 and CODAP 2010.
This prestigious international very well-staffed colloquium offered the possibility of new trends in the production of steel plates e.g. to get to know the new continuous casting CC6, the processing of plates to pressure vessels, reactors, apparatus, heat exchangers and dished ends. Furthermore, research and development departments provided insights into the material structures and pointed out developments for the future. Trends in welding technology were presented as well as optimizations of weld tests by e.g. the TOFD method (Time of Flight Diffraction).
